so much promise. I like the idea behind naboo, but when you stick to rear screen projections and cgi as the only means of creating a world, well then it just sucks.

anakin shouldn't have been the main character or the focus. Obi Wan should have.

We didn't need to see everything about anakin. Just have him be an adult human male jedi who is friends with obi wan...someone morally ambiguous, basically a han solo, only his character arc goes the other direction, and it is a huge part of the story, but not THE story.

Agreed. OBI Wan should have been the focus of the entire Prequel trilogy.

TPM served absolutely no purpose. there is nothing in TPM that is important for the next two movies to build on. the fact that Anakin was a slave could have been covered in two lines of exposition in the 2nd movie. Qui Gon just serves no purpose. Maul serves no purpose (waste of a great cool looking villain).

The 2nd movie should have been the first one and you should have had Dooku/Maul together as the 2 sith with Palpatine in the shadows
