Bama's football is at a career high thus they are receiving more applications. I know that sounds stupid and improbable but people are that unintelligent to pick a college based on the success of the football team and to be "different"

You wouldn't believe how many people I have met here from Chicago, Pennsylvania, California, etc. that actually tell people they chose to go here because of the football team. I really didn't think people could be so stupid.

As much as I love college football it is absolutely embarrassing that our higher education system in America is based on the success of the athletics. Alabama's admission standards are considerably lower than LSU's yet somehow still claim to be a top 100 school. How do they think they are turning the mules they get into race horses?

Wow. Each of those areas has so many better choices.

And the money. Bama is throwing money around to attract National Merit Scholarship high school students. They hope the money spent today will return in alumni donations in the future. So far so good with that program. It is still a state school, a pretty good one, but a state school.
