Lets complain about everything, but never actually talk in specifics.

quote:

Why are we +15 points in the first half of games and -25 in the second half so far this year?

Well small sample size and they haven't played well. Go look up the scoring numbers for Monty teams in the 2nd half. Last years team was outscored by 1.5 points in the 2nd half. The year before was 2 points. Those are both high lottery teams. Those numbers dont fit the "Monty always gets run out of the gym in the 3rd" complaint.

None of this means Monty doesnt deserve criticism or is even a good coach, but yall have this narrative in your head that doesnt hold up at all.

I've always defended him, but I'm starting to lose my patience. I'll try wait for Anderson to come back to really judge, but we should have won last night and opening night without Anderson.

ETA: I was at the game so I didn't read the game thread, but am I the only one that thought the 7 minute mark was way too late to put Jrue, EG, and Davis back in the game? The Suns going a run in the 4th, and our 2nd unit is playing almost half of the 4th. Then when he does tell them to go in, he watches another bad couple of positions and waits for the ball to go out to get them in. Of all the bad times he has burned a timeout, you don't call one in the 4th to get your best 3 players in the game when you're getting your arse kicked by the Phoenix fricking Suns? I know both Orlando and Phoenix shot pretty well, just seems like they wanted those games a lot more than we did.
