I won't say he's a joke, but he definitely went down in my , and many people's, estimation when he started his condescending disparagement of the "math guys" and seemed to bitch for years about how new players didn't know how to play the game.
Other old school players -- except maybe Matusow -- didn't act like that.
He's a good tourney player...or was.
But in order to be one of the best in my eyes, you dominate the cash games -- real poker, and Hellmuth gets worked in cash games.
