I've said before. You've got bigger, faster guys whose explosiveness is putting more strain on their skeletal system/connective tissue than at any point in the history of the game. You are now spreading the field more and having them run more across the field/down the field than at any point. You are now throwing the ball more which causes longer games with more plays than the traditional pound it out games played in close quarters. You are eliminating guys hitting high.
