we can always hope, but usually when we come off an open date, i wonder sometimes if we practiced the plays we already know. more then once it's appeared that the team didn't even practice during the 2 weeks off.

I'm expecting a gameplan similar to UGA, only leaning a little more on the run. But, the variety will be there.
I'm a Les Miles fan, but to me the thing he needs to change most is that close-to-the-vest approach in early season games (Florida, Ole Miss) where he thinks we have such a clear advantage we can just show up and run vanilla and win.
I think that mentality is outdated. We need to run our entire playbook from the start, and get better at it each week. You don't see Baylor or Oregon or A&M play 4-corners offense again weak competition. They show 90% of who they plan to be throughout the season, and save only a few new wrinkles for big games.
To me, that's the way to go. What you do in the bye week then is work on your gameplan, scout yourself and plan to break tendencies, etc.
