i know an awful lot of LSU fans. the overwheming majority ARE NOT LIKE THESE PEOPLE. thank god. no one knows the percentage of our fans that suck buy i'm gonna speculate 10-15 percent and i think they all post here and the majority are ignorant in terms of college football. it makes it really hard to hold meaningful dialog but fortunately most LSU fans are great. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Icongeauxtigers.png)

"Les was 28-21 (and 1-2 in bowl games) at Oklahoma State when LSU hired him... but there's no way they can find a coach to replace him that would, at least, put up similar results, right?"
Saban was 34-25-1 at Michigan State, including getting his arse kicked by Jerry Dinardo in the Independence Bowl. So if you want to know, Saban didn't make LSU. LSU was here playing good football in the country's best venue long before little Nick came to town and will be here long after.
Saban didn't make LSU. LSU made Saban. He stumbled through here at a time when the recruiting pickings were great, as they still are.
Just so ya know.
