I'm sure if New Orleans had enough money to afford a new stadium they probably would. Yea, the SuperDome is an "icon" but it's still old as frick and ugly as shite.
Every thread about this odd new stadium is the same.
"Hey, I don't get it. It doesn't look like much of an improvement over the Georgia Dome, and what's wrong with the Georgia Dome anyway?"

I think the new stadium is interesting looking, but count me among those who don't think it will be worth the price tag. I have been in the Georgia Dome several times (most recently at the Peach Bowl) and it is fine (not great, but not awful).
It is just stupid to spend that much money on a new stadium when you have a serviceable one. What a waste of resources. Atlanta is moving in the right direction, and there is a LOT that the city could do with that money (and yes, I realize the city isn't footing the whole bill).
