Also never said anything about quitting. But when your upside is hoping Auburn beats Bama, then things are getting pretty thin.

You have to forgive people for not understanding this. Reality is too much for some people to see. It is even more of a stretch for most people to think that just because you can be a realist doesn't mean that you still hope for the best.

Win totals the last 13 years.

Seems "realist" on this site are mostly just pessimist who are complimentary of themselves.

Not sure the LSU fanbase ever really adjusted to being winners other than in a negative way. Maybe it's a defense mechanism.

The Ole Miss loss was a painful one for sure. We had no business losing that game and they were a number of reasons why.

But history has proven the Bama game and A&M game are both winnable.

Admittedly, it's hard for many to recognize that after a shocking loss.

This fanbase is quick to panic and decry the perpetual decline year after year. Perhaps one day a self fulfilling prophecy will allow these tormented souls to be at peace, but until then an 11 win season is still on the table and that is realistic, as well.

To be fair, perhaps I'm just an optimist disguised as a realist, but my perspective allows me the luxury of not quitting mid season as some of you have already done.
