This is by far the least talent he has had at LSU. Could be one of the least talented defenses he has ever had as a DC in the SEC.

Not having a single playmaker isn't helping. No Tyrann, no Mingo/Montgomery, no Peterson.

False. I don't know why people keep saying this defense is not talented. Just about every single one of those guys on this defense were pretty highly touted coming out of high school. Loston,White,Roinson,Freak,Barrow,Kwon,Ego,Martin,Hunter,Allen,Rasco all had alot of offers and alot of talent coming into college. I've seen alot of other D coordinators doing more with less.I like Chavis he is a great coach but he needs some of the blame too!

These players have talent. Maybe not as talented as the guys in the past but they are talented. One thing I have noticed with Saban is that he coaches his players to become great players. Look what he did at LSU and did at Bama. In his second year at both schools he was in the SEC champ game with "talent" from the previous coaching staff.
