This is where i fault Miles. He doesn't recruit well on his own team.

I think this is a bit unfair. We lost some pretty big names to the draft. Mingo and Montgomery have been the hardest to replace. The d line is so soft right now.

Again, people, including myself take a gander at Bama and think wow, they never seem to lose a step. But it's the wrong trap to fall into. We were never at that level and quite frankly, nobody else is.

I feel like I could line up and gain 6yds on this defense. I'd drag Welter assuming he even got to me after being blocked by my phantom OL.

Seems like it's a different problem every year. Pelini left, then we had a couple of bad defensive years. He hired Chief; that problem's fixed. RP got kicked off the team so we struggled at QB. He brought in Mett. That problem's fixed. Our offense was bad, he brought in Krags and tried to fix the problem. Krags gets sick, Miles does the best he can but it doesn't work out and he brings in Cam. Now we lose half the defense to the NFL. (The good half.) Defense is a problem again.

I know that Les is doing everything he can to fix these problems as they arise but it's like a game of wack-a-mole. Fix one problem and something else pops up. I'm not blaming Les but it's frustrating that we can't put it all together in the same year. People look at the offense this year and it's only natural to wonder what it would have been like if this O could have been paired with the defense of the last couple of years.
