JJ for me. With no offensive line or run game, he had 2166 yards and 17 TDs as a true sophomore. Add another 171 yards and a TD on the ground too. He could have flourished under Cam. IMO we beat Auburn and Arkansas and beat Oregon for the Title game in 2010. In 2011 we beat Bama twice.
While it's certainly a feather in JJ's cap that he beat Bama twice, his one-dimensional game also led to that horrific day in Nola.
Gotta scratch him off this list just for that alone..

What? His mobility was one of the main reasons we won.

Wouldn't that be the point of Cam getting to work with him. I think JJ is the correct answer.

is this the urban legend that will never die? "that horrific day in Nola" was a full dimensional offensive collapse. bama ate our oline's lunch all game long and what was remarkable was that we kept the game close for as long as we did. no qb, especially JL, could have managed that game any differently considering how our oline was dominated. I was watching film from the past the other day and JJ, flaws and all, made a ton of plays for LSU and unlike others at his position was not afraid to stand in and take a hit. the kid, for whatever reason, is singled out by many on this board as the sole reason why LSU didn't get more crystal when in reality he was a major part of the reason why we even had a chance. nobody on this planet wanted to deliver more for LSU than JJ/JL....it didn't happen. both of those kids would have benefited greatly from Cam's experience and expertise with footwork and release points but more importantly the improvement in recognition skills might well have put them, the team and LSU fans where we all dreamed of being. JMO.
get better, get ready...get even.
