I used to worry about Stringer, but he's really improved and has grown on me. One of my favorite Tigers!
Trent Johnson's forced utilization of Stringer as Allen Iverson was unfair to him and not commiserate with his skill level. He has tremendous skills, but he needed a system that enhanced those skills. He is a steals machine, plays great in passing lanes, can give you points in spurts but should not have had the greenest light of all time.
Because Trent could not be bothered to design an offense during his time in the Stick, we sometimes misplaced our disappointment on the player and not the guy who murdered our offense. A run and gun system with a pressing component is a great fit for Stringer. Great in passing lanes.

Exactly. He was forced into playing out of position his freshman year, but made the best out of it. In that offense, Stringer had to throw up last second on the shot clock 30 foot threes way to often. Now our offense moves enough that he only takes them in the offensive set. He has continued to improve and is greatly underestimated when it comes to his defensive ability.
