you have to start wondering if anyone looking for a coach will be looking at Curtis Johnson...

Not really. CJ is a new head coach but he is on the older side already being 50 or 51. CJ is local and he is tied to the hip with the Saints(Bensons)who have thrown a lot of support Tulane's way because of CJ. He could leave I guess if he felt he was not being valued but that won't happen. Tulane has thrown money (not a lot of money) to really bad coaches that didn't deserve extensions or raises. When they hired CJ I figured the only competition would be if an NFL team came calling again or The U. CJ is there to stay if we take care of him. The bigger issue is not CJ, it is giving him enough money to keep his assistant or bring in quality ones should they start leaving. They had two coaches get better offers last year but they stayed. They have a DB coach that has been offered by two different head coaches at Tenn to go there and he rejected them twice. Tulane needs to make sure they can pay their assistants and they need to make sure they football program gets more money so the coaches can give the kids all the free shite (swag) that other schools are able to do. NCAA allows you to give X amount of gear to the kids and Tulane needs to be able to do that. They also badly need a new locker room if it hasn't changed much since I saw it a few years ago.
