I liked him. He was good for the program at the time.
Restaurant was good too.

When the program needed a promoter, he was awesome. When it needed a great coach, he was lousy. But, as the 10-plus-win seasons pile up, it's easier and easier to view DiNardo's tenure in a generally favorable light.

Smartest thing he did was cancel the long standing seriess with A&M. Helped Lsu by not starting with a loss every year. Where is our money for cancelling by the way?

Great restaurant and past client. Loved cashing those LSU checks. Now they say Ruffino's.

The delusion is strong here. DiNardo was not good for the program overall. He had some success but was Not able to sustain it. Any gains made in recruiting Louisiana kids were going away, and would have been gone had he stayed, or with any coach who continued with the losing ways of LSU football in the 90s.

Saban was the difference maker, like it or not!
