My wife watches this show. So far have they just skipped over how he died? (On the show that is).

It would be pretty pathetic for a show that seemingly touches on supposedly taboo subjects affecting high school kids and they avoid the drug issue.

it's his friends and his girlfriend paying respect to someone they've been on a show with for many years. Have you never had a friend die of a drug overdose or commit suicide? shite happens, remember the good times you had with them and let the haters talk shite about the bad times.

case in point-this guy is singing Fire & Rain, a song about drug addiction and depression. They will tie in his real life issues probably through songs like this.

I've known people from good families who get injured, get hooked on pain pills, then turn to opiates They get on Heroin then their life is over. I don't automatically associate heroin addict with scum of the earth anymore. Thus episode hits a little close to home no matter how much I care less about Glee.
