You don't think the circumstances of Duran/Leonard II had anything to do with him "ducking" Duran? What respect was Duran due at that point? SRL took his beating like a man, but Duran couldn't. SRL didn't owe him anything, IMO.

Ray can not both complain that he did not get the proper respect for an unequivocal victory and refuse a rematch. He could pick one option or the other IMO and he made his choice.
As I pointed out above he also stole a highly controversial decision from Hagler and then refused him a rematch. Ray was one of the greatest fighters ever but he ducked fighters
