quote:

Yesterday it cost us another shot at national title

We weren't going to the national title with this defensive personnel. Just letting you know.

quote:

cost us bowl game.

I can believe that. But it was the overall preparation for the whole team. People say that we didn't want to be there, and the team showed that by only playing 3 quarters.

quote:

cost us a (previous) national championship

2 to 5 teams can say this per year. Saban said, while coaching LSU, that there are 7 or 8 plays that determine the outcome of any game. It happens to a number of teams every year, and they drop from BCS contention, one by one until there are two left. See 2011 Bama. They got lucky Ok St lost to ISU....we are unlucky because of it.

This is not like the SAT where I was able to combine my math score and my verbal score from two different years. Winning a national title in College Football requires LSU's 2011 defense with 2013's offense. Sometimes the stars don't align that way.

Miles/Chavis will have another title. Just as long as the coaching lapses happen vs. the UABs and 'weak' Auburns of the world; and the combined offense/defense/st talent gels all year.

PS Tiger79

I think you are a fan.

The only kind of idiot fans we have are the ones that:

Scream Suck that Tiger D-ck, B-tch (and we'll never change 18-24 year old kids)
and
Somehow want to say things about 18 year old recruits that choose OOS teams (the worst i've seen)

Second guessing our team, 24 hours after a loss like this is, most likely, acceptable. I came away happy that, since our defense played like this, that we didn't have a 2011 offense. That would have been 44-13 instead of 44-41.

I'm also happy for Mett. He lifted his NFL Draft status, again.
