re: do hogs growl??

I'll never forget the first time I encountered a group of them. Was bowhunting and all of a sudden there's what sounds like a buzzsaw in the pine thicket. Grunting, growling, jaws popping, etc. A couple come out but the big boy stayed in the thicket because he winded me. The anticipation of waiting for the thing that was making those noises to emerge was intense.
