Mine had congestive heart failure when she was 11 and died in my arms. I cried like a baby. My kids rode her like a horse, and the neighborhood kids used to come to the door to ask if she could come out and play. What a great dog. I feel the pain you're feeling.

They really are the best dogs. I've only owned Goldens and he's the second one. Beautiful dogs!
