Thanks for the story... you just reminded me to thank my dad for the gift he gave me and my brother as kids. We didnt go to every game but thats what made the radio experience a treasured memory!

The TV games back then were especially awesome if you couldnt be at the game in person.

The last game against "The Bear" was I think in '82?? Risher and company put a arse thumping on Walter Lewis and Bama. I remember watching this game with a group of friends. I think it was on Pay Per View... It felt so good that day after that beat down of Bama.

It was way more exciting on the radio when we were not this good! Beating Pat Dye Auburn teams was a huge party, and beating Alabama before we knew they would be shite for years after Stallings was exhilirating.
