I would like to see Miles refer to more coaches by the wrong name. Would love for him to start referring to Bama's coach as Steve or Bob Saban. Would be classic and a sound bite to be abused for years.

Just calling the Bama coach Nicky would be enough for me

Sounds like something a stupid person made up so they could bitch about Miles.

Yeah, that's about what I figured. Remember, I have to live in Alabama.

That said, I have no real problem with Miles going conservative when he thinks he has the game in the bag like this one. I remember another LSU coach throwing with his team up 14 in the 4th qtr against Auburn.

Miles should take notes from Jimmy Johnson while he was at Univ. of Miami. Johnson taught his players that no matter how big the lead was that they were not to let up, to keep running it up. Once you let your players throttle back then thats when complacency sets in and the other teams climbs back into the game as Auburn almost did. He taught his players to finish off an opponenet

Totally agree. When you throw the opponent on the ground, you grind out all the embers with your foot!

No way a coach that "takes the air out of the ball" with a lead in the 4th quarter can be successful in the long run.

Seems no one learned a lesson Saturday !

Have one or two starters get hurt trying to run up the score on a wet field! Brilliant idea! That's why none of you are paid to coach. So just keep posting your stupid shite. Go tigers!

I think Miles tries to still play the gentleman's game. When you are smoking a team, you lay off and try to finish the game. Malzahn said screw that and tried to make it look as close as possible. Mile's needs to understand he is the only one left giving that type of respect and play 4 qtrs accordingly.

Miles might be the only respected one left also after the words being written about the blow out scores on lesser teams by Powerhouse FBS teams.

Miles is the one who went for a fake FG relatively late in the game with the outcome mostly in hand. I feel like anything is fair game after that - especially in an SEC West tilt.

When you have depth then you can sub players and let the "fresh legs" finish it off. Auburn should have never climbed back into it and you can damn well bet Georgia saw it just as we saw what aTm and Bama did to each other and we will try and exploit that

Georgia saw our defense shut them out of the end zone at the end also.

Lots of talk around Montgomery this morning is about how Auburn kept fighting (a valid point). One of the things being said is that Miles was mad at Malzhan for running the hurry-up and going for it on 4th down late with a 14-point deficit. Didn't see this on the TV. Did I miss something? Was Miles really upset that an opponent kept trying to win?

frick people are stupid. Who in the hell would believe something as stupid as this? AU fans are looking for anything to hang their hats on right now I guess.

It looked like he said something like go win the rest of 'em. Nothing to indicate he was mad or upset at all.

This.

If anybody truly believes Miles would be mad about this, they are the dumbest person on the planet. Sad thing is, a bunch of you idiot ranters probably do believe it along with the damn barners. This place never ceases to amaze me.

ETA: I know none of you said you think he was mad, but the fact that a bunch of people said, he should take notes, or stupid crap like that are the ranters I am referring to.

Most of the Aubies I know hate Miles. They come across as being very bitter toward him. But, I guess losing six out of the last seven to The Hat could lead to that kind of dispostion.

When I said take notes it meant look at what Johnson did. He taught his players to destroy an opponent and not let up. We have momentum on offense now and it should build even more until we go in to Tuscaloosa and thump their arse. We should be sending a clear message that this year Alabama's arse is ours. The lack of reading comprehension is fricking staggering to the imagination. Dont take shite out of context

That's great and all, but I really don't want the same culture that Jimmy Johnson created at Miami. I think the way Les runs things is much more sustainable than Jimmy's 'thuggin it and lovin it' culture.
