The thing is, aminu isn't a very good offensive rebounder. He just fights his own teammates for defensive boards all damn game
This is not backed up by any data I've come across. If you have the numbers, I would love to see them. According to this, Aminu being on or off the court had the biggest impact on how well the team and their opponents rebounded last season.

Aminu will improve this year though in the uptempo offense. Count on it.
Offensively, yes. But if people think this team needs Aminu to be a threat on offense to compete for a playoff spot, they don't know what they are talking about.
Aminu can't do anything with the ball other than dunk it or turn it over. That's not good, but that's why they have Holiday, Gordon, Evans, Anderson, Davis, Morrow, Rivers, Smiht. Aminu is there to rebound, play defense, run the floor, and cut to the rim.
He can be an excellent rotation player (7th or 8th man) just by doing those things. He's an outstanding rebounder (tied with Davis with 10.2 PER 36) and a good shot blocker and stealer for his position. If he can continue to learn how to play defense, he can be a solid NBA player for a long time.
