Grease, Ive had my mind set on that midsize 500 ranger since it came out. BUT, what do you think about that new 570, any difference for the extra change?

all polaris engines over 335cc are some of the best.
Havent had any dealing with the 570 but the 900 and 1000 are made by the same company(prostar made in Merica) and we have abused the hell out of them with no prob.

OP
the mules are dependable if you dont have to go through any mud or water. If you do buy the Ranger.

The v twin mules have valve covers that warp and leak.Water pump will go out without warning and cost you a grand to fix engine(you can run a ranger without water without warping block and heads) Valves need adjusted to often(ranger never needs adj),they dont idle good. The rear diff lock will break if you use it often. They are cold natured(all kawis are unless fuel inj) and the rangers resale is double that of a mule.

FWIW I am far from a brand whore but the ranger is twice the machine that the mule is

Polaris must have changed alot in the past few years. i had one about 10 years ago and it was nothing but trouble, bad trouble. the dealership stopped taking it in for repairs because they claimed i had masxed out the limit they would pay for a lifetime of warranty work. i ended up giving it away to my friend's dad a few years ago.

Honda, Yamaha, and Kawaski make the most reliable machines if you ask my opinion.
