Thanks for the summary. I would almost have preferred that the onus lay on the DE's. The explanation furnished by Gordy implicates lax play in several layers of our defense. It's not particularly encouraging when the LB's, CB's, and safeties are all making repeated errors. It indicates that we will be exceedingly vulnerable against good teams who put pressure on those very positions. For example, Gurley will rampage if we don't fill properly, take appropriate angles, and tackle.
