I agree, I'm worried about UGAs offense if something doesn't change by then.

definitely. Worried how this group will perform against Gurley in Athens vs UGA.

Tahj Jones did not play. Was hurt. Factor him in and things look better.

They took a lot of bad angles. Chief will coach them up.

I was trying to give Welter the benefit of the doubt, but geez that dude looked bad out there.

The big problem is who is on the field. Kwon, Barrow/Louis/Beckwith, Debo should be on the field as much as possible. We don't know what goes on in practice but imo, it's time to move Barrow to the middle and consistently play Kwon and Debo at the OLB spots.

LBers recorded only 9 out of the defense's 49 tackles.

Part of that was the offense TCU employs, but part of it is linebackers out of position/poor tackling technique, which did not appear to me to be limited to Welter (although he certainly has problems).

Chavis is a genius with linebackers - and certainly the talent is there to put 3 guys out there who can play with anybody.

I chalk it up to first game jitters/rust, different defense to defend a different offense, youth at the position and T. Jones being out. Most of that is fixable. If Welter doesn't have the tools, it will be obvious on the film.
