Fishing near Golden Meadow

Gonna be in Golden Meadow dealing with a ticket (surprise!) and I'll be bringing the yak to go fishing before and after.
Are there any places directly near Golden Meadow I should try out? I'm really only familiar with the jetties by Fouchon and I don't think me and the yak could handle that.

Catfish Lake has some great fishing. Nearby, easy access from the park on 3225 or whatever that highway is called.

Check THIS out, the body of water on the far left is the already mentioned Catfish Lake. Great fishing there.

Fish here a lot from the Yak. Turn right after the first store when you get into town. Good public launch at the end of the road.

There is a guy JLS that posts on LASM that knows everything there is to know about fishing that area. Look him up.
