Either Alabama exposed us or something went very wrong on the field or in the coaching booth upstairs that never got fixed for the rest of the year.

Exposed what, LSU had two freshmen starting in their secondary and still came a whisker away from playing in the sec title game. It was LSU who exposed Alabama by lighting up Bama's defense and shutting down the Tide, LSU looked far superior in that game. Should have just let Mett continue torching Bama's secondary, instead Les played conservative. I respect coach, but he goofed.

I'll take our "young" but motivated D over our overhyped D we had last year. We had all of the names last year that believed their own press clippings. This D is full of a bunch of players that don't have press clippings yet and are tired of hearing about how they're going to take a step back.

We have the most experience at the positions where we need it most, in the back 7. The D line is far more stout in the middle than last year, and those boys on the ends will be able to pin their ears back and rush the passer. It all seems like it should mesh perfectly. This year's D will be better than last year's. I have no doubt.

Great take

Bingo.

The 2012 LSU/Bama game played out a lot like the 2011 LSU/Bama game: one team dominated the other, while the other took advantage of mistakes and won.

Then you also had the media whitewash after the game declaring the losing team the "real winner" thus deserving a rematch.

Oh wait, that media whitewash didn't happen in 2012. My bad. You get my point, though.
