The middle linebacker spot is one of my worries. Louis is kind of light to man that spot IMO.

Would've liked to see Barrow slide inside. But it doesn't look like that's gonna happen. I like Welter and Louis competing for that spot. The competition will bring out the best in both of them. Seems like the starting spot is a toss up at the moment.

I think the fact that Louis is a little light in the seat is the reason he'll be rotating with Welter. I think Welter will see the majority of the snaps vs power run teams and Louis more against the spread. Of course, with the spread, we're more likely to go to 2 LBs anyway, and that will be Barrow and Jones/Kwon I'd think.
Further, I think it's a dead issue by mid-season when Beckwith will probably be the man in the middle full time.

Is LB looking like Barrow, Welter, Alexander?

Barrow, Welter, Tahj Jones (at least game 1) with heavy rotation. I think it's Barrow, Beckwith, Alexander by mid-season...still gonna see heavy rotation I'd think.

I'm hoping Beckwith can pick up the calls quickly, I think Welter and Louis will have trouble with teams that can line up and run right at them.

Somehow, some way, they'll figure out how to get kwon on the field a lot.

Look for beckwith to take over eventually.
By the end of the year it will be barrow, beckwith, Alexander.

Gordy made a good point on tiger zone last night. In years past, we ran dime and nickle to get extra talent on the field (DBS).
By mideseason we may see 4-5 lb formations, because that's where the overflow of talent is. Who knows.

Barrow will be calling the plays from OLB and as soon as beckwith gets everything down I think he'll be starting.
