It's a rule, and one of the most well-known to a student-athlete. Meaning, he (allegedly) did it knowing full well it's not allowed. You can pick out any number of laws/rules you don't agree with, does that mean none of them should be followed or enforced?

I agree, the NCAA is a monopoly that makes billions off of amateur athletes skills and likenesses. Something needs to be done. But ignoring rules just because someone disagrees has never gotten anyone in trouble. Ever. It always works out well in the end.

We're talking college sports. What exactly do you imagine as a worse case scenario if Manziel gets away with making money off his autograph?

Seriously though, since winning the Heisman last year you mean to tell me that out of all the trips he's made this off season and appearances that he hasn't done one thing wrong to make him ineligible for this season? From flashing money at the casino to showing off his new Rolex. Come the frick on. Forget the whole parents thing.
