According to what I've seen, Seattle was the only team to meet Spurs' $9M asking price. Might be wrong.

Hmmm.... That explains why Tottenham dealt him but if I was Clint, I would have vetoed any move to the MLS. They would have sold him for a little less. However I cannot believe no one offered 6 million pounds for Dempsey in all of England, or desirable teams in other leagues.
