I never saw Collins play. Who is/was the better prospect?

We still have another year to watch Hootie. Don't forget that. If he continues to develop through his senior year he may be the better prospect. Have to give LC the edge at this moment just cuz we saw his senior year. Time will tell. I'm excited

That's how I initially read the topic.

Collins did alot of damage on offense his senior year a few people started to think he could be a tailback in college after that year. But as a coverage safety/corner I think jones has the edge. Collins is a big hitter when I looked at his highlights covering wrs didn't stand out to me as with jones.

Collins is one of the most impressive ath's I've seen, but can get lost in coverage. Hootie has better instincts.

Hootie is the better songwriter. From a pure musician standpoint, its Collins.

Landon Collins has blazing speed.

I disagree, for me it doesn't get any better than "In The Air Tonight"... some pretty strong lyrics

Hootie. He's better in coverage as a CB and I actually think he's slightly more athletic. Better lateral quickness. The difference between them at the same age isn't very big. But Hootie gets the edge because he has the hips to be a starting cornerback for over 90% of teams in the country.
IMO Collins will be a beast Strong Safety, but I think Hootie has more potential for both safety positions.

Hate on LC all y'all want because he went to bama, but he is an absolute animal. He will be a beast before he's done in Tuscaloosa
Hootie is a great prospect as well, but I don't think he's quite as special as Landon. At least not yet

Collins was told he will return kicks and be their Wildcat QB from day 1, so those offensive skills will be necessary when he gets there.
