I don't understand how people constantly complain about Sam underperforming in 2012 yet say nothing about Mingo.
They both underperformed tremendously last year. They are still tigers though

He must have got his heart back into it:
Rookie Sam Montgomery returns for afternoon practice after injury
Posted on July 26, 2013 at 12:11 pm by John McClain in Sam Montgomery, Training camp
Rookie outside linebacker Sam Montgomery, who reported out of shape and was placed on the non-football injury list before being moved to the active roster, left the morning practice with an injury to his right ankle. He returned for the afternoon workout.
“We didn’t like the condition he came back in, but he made up a lot of ground the last few days,” coach Gary Kubiak said. “He was ready to go back out (and) tweaked his ankle a little bit today, so Sam’s just got to stay in one piece, figure out what we’re doing, and I think (defensive coordinator) Wade (Phillips) and (linebackers coach) Reggie (Herring) will do a great job with him. We’ve just got to keep him healthy.”

I hardly think you can blame Miles for this. Montgomery is gone from LSU. He's responsible now for making his own way. If he can't act as a professional without prodding from a coach, then he shouldn't be playing in the NFL! Miles prepared him, and now it's up to one person--Sam Montgomery!
