I can guarantee you I shot at least two boxes of 16 gauge shells at mr. jacksnipe before I ever cut a feather off one. I didn't even know what they were. When we moved to La Place, I was in the back of the neighborhood, and these really fast birds started jumping up every now and again. I just knew it was a game bird because it flushed/flew fast. I finally killed one, and showed it to my dad, and he told me what it was.
