What about before 2010....or those years we had a good/great offense?

Actually, if Zack doesn't miss a wide open receiver at the LOS by five yards we would've won the game and if the defense doesn't allow a forth and 16 from the Clemson 20 to be completed we would have won the game.

Damn those inconvenient facts.

That was a given to get Cameron to come to LSU. Miles will control the clock and make the fourth down plays, and that is about it.

No, that was a given because Les hasn't called the plays in past seasons either...

so it wouldn't surprise me if Miles had a heavy hand in playcalling.
he has since 2010. watch the last 3 years worth of games.
One of those years was the #2 scoring O in LSU history.
He coached 4 of the top 5 actually, with 4 OCs standing on the sidelines with proverbial thumb up arse.
You "Miles calls the plays" bunch are touting him as one of the best playcallers in LSU history. LOL and .

Player personel decisions are just as important, and Cameron needs to make those calls for the offense also.

Really, really dumb play call. Need a yard, Hill had 120, had like one carry in 4th quarter. Zack had been hammered all game and never got in rhythm. One of the all time dumbest play calls.

Understandable they were gassed and could not keep up seeing as how Clemson ran about 110 plays in the game. LSU ran around 60 I think. Defense on field all game not because they played poorly but because offense once again stunk. And it did stink. Otherwise there would be no need to bring in another OC and change it.

Theres you some facts.

Any play that fails is a dumb play to all of you arm chair quarterbacks.

Which would not have been the case if the D had stopped Clemson's offense.

So you are saying that the D played brilliantly when they were on the field?

The offense is being totally changed?

I could not care less about the stats if the scoreboard has LSU with more points than the other team when the game is over. Nor do I care who called the plays to get us to the win.

And this exact attitude by the coach has also been responsible for some of the ugliest football by a high profile program in NCAA history. Not exactly something to be proud of.

The other side of the coin is that Miles philosophy, by "keeping it close, and winning it late", which he has publicly stated he subscribes to, has been the reason we allow lower ranked teams to hang with us to the end and even beat us on occasion. Suck the fun out of it and just try to get a W, yeah that's a great recipe for exciting football.

It does not take an armchair QB to know that was a really dumb call. You need a yard and the game is over. Mett was having a bad day. He threw for 120 yards and an INT. He barely completed 50% of his passes. He had been knocked down several times, sacked, and never in a rhythm. Hill had 124 yards in the game and was averaging 10 yards every time he touched the ball. So yeah, calling a rollout pass by Mett and asking him to throw across the field while on the run speaks for itself.

quote:

Pretty much.

Clemson offense averaged 41 points a game last year. They scored 25 against us, their second lowest out of 13 games. Only South Carolina held them to less. They had the ball almost twice as much as we did. The FACTS that our offense had 9 first downs, 200 total yards, and went 3 for 14 on 3rd downs probably had something to do with that. That they even had legs at all on that last drive is amazing. They were gassed.

The offense is being totally changed?

Cameron will not be Stud/Les. And I think I speak for 99% of LSU fans when I say thank God.

Get a clue.

as soon as we don't run an option to the short side, or throw a 5 yard out on 3rd and 9, or run up the gut on 1st and 10, LES will take charge again..
