Show up at Finn's on August 17th for some early morning tailgating. Watch the matches and the fans of the respective teams. Pick a team.
Well if this happens, Liverpool is a lock.

Stoke City are the oldest club in the Premier League. They are known as the Potters for their pottery industry in the city.
A lot of the people on this board dislike them because they play really rough and psychical. I thought you would be a good fit because it seems like you want to be contrarian or an a-hole.

They use to play like that. I doubt they play that way under Hughes. Who knows how they will play under Hughes, who has to be one of the most Jekyll and Hyde managers in the PL.

Go for sunderland imho. You get the dual satisfaction of watching a crap team rise up the table with all these nice signings and having the birth of an American superstar on your hands

Even if they abandon their punt ball under Hughes, they will still be disliked on this board.
Phan would like that.
Phan would like that.

I don't know about that. If the Americans get a ton of playing time, I seriously doubt they would be disliked. And it wasn't the punt ball that was the problem. It was the recklessness with which they, the team, tackled that was. And it was their relative pride about playing that way. No one here has complained about West Ham's style under Allardyce, or Everton when they insisted on pumping diagonal after diagonal, or any of the other handful of teams that play that way, though there were plenty of complaints about Alex McLeish once he moved to Aston Villa. Long ball, as a general strategy, concedes too much possession willingly to actually win more than 40% of your games.
For Arsenal fans, it has everything to do with their recklessness in our games against them, and not their attacking style, though that certainly didn't endear them to us. In truth, that style is an extension of the Battle of the Buffet game between Man U and Arsenal, where Man U kicked us to pieces as a strategy, and other teams followed suit, leading three of our players to have double leg breaks in 4 years. Now that Pulis is gone, I expect most fans won't have a problem with them if they lose their overly physical style.

Phan, pick whomever. Once you understand the sport, and provided that you appreciate it, especially technical proficiency, then switch to La Liga. You will then get your fix.

I get it. Nearly all on this board love ´checkers´, but I´m doing my civic duty by informing yáll that Chess does exist, and thrives.

Hey now. Brendan Rogers plays chess. He's one of the only ones.
