All i'm going to say is: This is not the spurs model. The spurs won their championships with most of their salary invested in Cs. Last year, maybe by the end of the year, they had 7 guards. 5 of those guys were all backups(shooters) to the primary 1 and 2 in manu and parker.

I smell a trade for ego coming up. If we can't get anything for him until sometime next season, it may be then. If Dell has any sense, he's not going to keep all this money locked up in the backcourt.

We aren't trading Gordon. This is essentially a one year vet minimum deal. Bench guy that will get spot minutes for scoring spurts and spacing. Can play increased minutes due to injuries.

This is a great deal, upgrade over Mason.

I think we absolutely trade Roberts in help to acquire a Big. Can we combine a trade with the Room Exception?

You don't remember the Stephen Jackson/Richard Jefferson deals that they made? They were paying their backcourt anywhere form 30 mil to 36+ mil since 2010.

You realize the reason why this is was because they had Tim Duncan, not because they went out and decided to invest a bunch of money in centers. The Spurs model to winning is and was not to go out there load up and allocate the bulk of their money in centers.

Draft well, develop, make smart signings, and most importantly, play defense.

Spurs won championships because they had Duncan lol. Spending big money on Rasho Nesterovic and Nazr Mohammed wasn't very high up on the reasons they won titles.
