My tv is 120 hz. I wouldnt go back to 60hz for nothing.

Tvs are not the same technology. Your issue will be more with your gpu. At 1080 you will need to lower some settings to get 120 FPS probably. Most people I have seen playing at 120fps have dual GPU's.
