Same old places

Girdon Beirsch
Copelands
Houstons
Outback
Cheescake Bistro
Deanies (Bucktown)
Jacque-Imos
All the restaurants in Harrahs
Camilia Grill
Common Grounds
Gatusos Deli

Looking for places like Venezia, Ugly Dog Saloon, Franks,Cajun Kitchen so forth. Places that ddon't get much pub but have great food. Just in the need for change.

Never heard of Peche or Tableau.

Eta: Kinda sad but we always eat at the same places. Been like that since I was a kid. I would bet good money that I have been to Deanies more than anyone else in its existence. Just the way my family was.

see my post above for a nice start.

Peche is utterly delicious in every aspect. Go immediately. Haven't been to Tableau. It's a Brennan's spot. I'm sure it's at least decent .. maybe too pricey for the quality though.

Haven't heard of those two .. I question if you have actually heard of many of the good restaurants talked about on here frequently. If not, here's a quick shortlist.

Domenica
Coquette
Maurepas
Root
Bistro Daisy
Parkway Bakery
Ancora
High Hat
Cowbell
Boucherie
Atchafalaya
La Petite Grocery
Magasin
Mais Arepas
La Casita
Ba Chi Canteen
Patois
Borgne

good luck, there are a TON of great places to try out and not all fo them will break the bank.

Vietnamese Food:
Pho Tau Bay (Westbank)
Tan Dinh (Westbank)
Magasin (Uptown Magazine St)
Ba Chi Canteen (Uptown)

Sushi:

If you have any specific cuisines or areas of town in mind, I can point you in the direction

(also, do you work at the Jeff Parish Court house? I see Common Grounds and Gattuso's on that list. I'm a lawyer that works in that area often)
