I also didn't mean to imply that Casillas should never be benched or that he is an automatic starter. He had a rather poor season by his standards this past year with Real, but there were mitigating circumstances (injury, falling out with Mourinho, etc). But overall, looking at his entire career, it's hard to deny that he isn't one of the best keepers of all time.

Reina had the same clean sheet percentage as Casillas. Tottenham's combination of keepers also had the same percentage.
