Good recommendation if you just want to hear the hits. But it's worth it as well to give full albums a listen to capture the mood and flow of the songs from that particular era which is how I prefer to listen to bands I am just discovering

BTW: Listening to Violator right now and it's incredible. I'd have to say "Blue Dress" is my favorite song, it's beautiful.

I agree. what's interesting many bands that hang around long enough to have sold multiple albums look back at what sold what you liked, their biggest or most popular albums violator & songs of faith & devotion both produced by mark ellis the remainder of their albums were a mix of producers. That did ok but not great. Like RUSHs bet selling albums Terry Brown was the producer from fly by night to signals that was their best years when he left so did the sales engineers/producers are the keys to the sound.
