This looks pretty awesome. I'm going to read up some more on it because I'm really intrigued. It obviously looks like it was born out of Minecraft, but that's not a bad thing.
What I liked most about Minecraft was exploring a unique world, discovering mines full of monsters and rare materials. But I wished there was more depth to crafting and forging weapons and armor. Sounds like this has that.

Wollay is the lead developer for Cube World, and was actually hired by Notch a few years ago to work on Minecraft, but he ultimately decided against taking the job.
The game's art style certainly draws inspiration from Minecraft. However, Minecraft is primairly a building game with light RPG elements. Cube World, on the other hand, is a pure RPG with light building elements.
