buy some shitty blades to hit with. that way, when you get good with them, you will MURDER with a quality set

So I'm on phase II of golf.

Been playing for over a year I'm consistently in the low 80's but I've got really shitty clubs. (Ok just kidding I'm 100-110 usually)

I've got Ram Irons and Golfmate Wedges, my sand wedge I can rub off metal shavings, so first of all what's the danger in using irons/wedges with little to no grooves? What should I jump to as far as clubs go? Should I get fitted and go new or should I find some good used clubs through Ebay? (i'm a lefty)

Better yet, get some old hickory shaft clubs from the 1940s and play with those until you can break par, then start using normal clubs.
