Played about 3 weeks ago and #1 green was in bad shape. Fairways were alright. Greens looked sandy and rough in some spots. I was mad they charged me $50 during the week to play on those greens.

I posted in the actual BR Open thread but didn't get a response....
I've never played in anything like that before but I'm interested in maybe starting to. Do average golfers participate in tournaments like this? I see the Webb Championship is coming up. Same thing for that? Is everything flighted? I shoot in the mid 80s. Would I embarrass myself out there in these types of tournaments or are there other guys like me out there?
