Have zero problems with the call. I thought it was a great call by UCLA's coach. Last night I felt I was watching the Super Regional from a couple years ago when we played at UCLA. Looks like Mainieri learned absolutely zero from that trip.
We ran this play every so often in High School. It was called "Miami" because they ran this play in the CWS back in the day.

The Miami play was at first base and the "throw" went into the bullpen where the batgirls jumped out of their chairs like the ball went under them.
Who called that play for the 'Canes...Skip Bertman.
