i watched pretty much every game this past weekend and many the weekend before. i like lsu's chances against anyone not named south carolina. i know scar lost game 1 to unc but, they definitely have moxie and have shown this season they are not intimidated by lsu.
ucla - plutko isn't pitcing nearly as well as gray is right now.
unc - seem mentally weak. let fau take them to the brink. didn't show up for game 2 at home against usc. their pitching was underwhelming in the post season. their outfielders played horribly in the 2 games against scar.
nc state - good pitching, decent hitting. if you look at the summary in the op they could be a sleeper but, lsu has all the intangibles over them, namely confidence. they're really good but, i think lsu is better and is on a mission. rice simply wasn't a great team this year and gave nc state everything they could handle.
usc - pitching, hitting, defense, omaha experience, playing well at the right time, sec tested. they're the one team i don't want lsu to face.
