I actually was pretty confident during this game. Nola was absolutely dominant tonight and OU only hit about 2 balls hard all night long. Gray's pitch count was much higher than Nola's all night and it was apparent he wouldn't be able to go all night. We had a couple hard hit balls that were caught and while Nola usually missed below the zone, Gray tended to leave a few balls up through the game and Jacoby made him pay for it with that triple.

With that being said Gray is going to be successful at the next level and showed why he was taken so high.

Nola was dealing, no doubt, but all it would take was one bad pitch, one error, or one bloop hit with a runner on base and we could have lost 1-0.

I'll admit, I wasn't overly confident.

I was nervous. All it takes is one big hit or a mistake and that is game. Nola gave up a double and OU had a runner on third with one out but OU could not get him home. I was sweating this one out until LSU scored 2 runs.
