Sounds to me like when the Ba deal fell through we were unprepared and just loaned out the first striker that we could, which happened to be Lukaku.
I am pissed about this deal, Lukaku outperformed both Torres and Ba last season, comes in and performs better than both of them in the preseason, and we decide to loan him out. Not to mention the fact that we have no idea how good Eto'o will be.
We had no plan this summer window, and it clearly showed. We sign two wingers that will definitely help, but we have a lot of AMs already that will be competing with them for PT, and we sign one old forward that has been playing in Russia for the last few years so we have no idea how good he will be. And then we loan out the one promising forward that we have without even giving him a start in the regular season.
Not to mention we are starting a 35 year-old attacking midfielder in the pivot, where he clearly doesn't belong IMO, even if that 35 year-old's name is Frank Lampard.

I can't put my frustration into coherence either. As that sentence seemingly proves further.
