This. Win that game and he's mentioned among the all-time great college coaches. Lose respectably (e.g., 17-13,21-14,etc.) and he'd still garner respect as one of the great current coaches. Losing like he did makes him like Dan Quayle. Regardless of any good he does, the press and public are waiting to bring up "potatoe".
