In terms of movies, how does Netflix compare to Amazon Prime?

Netflix, IMO, had a very poor selection. I'm assuming that prime is similar because they still want people to pay for the new release rentals. Anyone have it?

Netflix has a MUCH better interface. Prime mixes pay content with free and even when viewing free the pay button is right next to the free button and they have 1 click purchase set and it can not be disabled.
For selection both have some of the same content and both have exclusives.
Prime is worth every penny for the 2nd delivery on items you purchase.

Couldn't disagree more, but that has nothing to do with movie selection anyway.

how in the world could you think prime has a better interface than netflix?
prime is atrocious when it comes to interface

I've hit those twice and as I said, 1 click can't be disabled which is total BS since they can do it for the whole rest of the site but for some odd reason 1 click buy can't be disabled on streaming content. Yeah sure.
The interface is terrible and you are the only person I have ever seen say they like Prime's interface more than Netflix.

Just did a whole 50 minute final presentation on netflix and the streaming movie market. Netflix is better than everyone else, trust me.

If he doesn't know about the selection versus Netflix, how could he have the opinion that the interface is better with Prime?

I've found the best way to sort through the prime stuff is select the amazon instant category, check the prime eligible box on the left hand side, then just click search. That pulls up all the tv shows and movies that you can watch for free. Then you can further narrow it down by genre with the check boxes on the left.

Why don\'t you elaborate?
I have a free 50 mins to burn

But, as I said Prime is still worth every dollar. It has content not available on Netflix.
Given how good Amazon is at everything else I am shocked by how poor they have their streaming set up.

I absolutely loathe the Netflix interface. It only shows you a select amount in a bunch of garbage categories. But I'm to stupid to have an opinion. I'm so sad I'm not the streaming knowledge king you are, dork.

Use Netflix's website to search for streaming movies.
Posted on 5/21/13 at 8:21 pm to VanRIch
Really?
You actually see more vids per page than on Prime. Both you need to use search to see more.
You can have an opinion but once again, if you haven't used Prime enough to know what content is available then no maybe you haven't used it enough to form a valid opinion.
Oh and once again, seem like everyone in this thread agrees with me so far.
You asked for our opinions nitwit. If you can't handle them, then get the F off the internets.

Prime is only good for the free two day shipping

Na. It has plenty of content not on Netfilx. Plenty of BBC shows.
Also Fringe was on Prime long before Netflix which just got it.
I find stuff to watch on Prime all the time that isn't on Netflix. I just wish the pay content was 100% removed from the free.

Prime also has The Shield and Justified. It's not too shabby
Posted on 5/21/13 at 8:37 pm to MaesterMullen
Yeah. When you factor in the shipping, Prime is a no brainer for anyone that likes to stream.
